Cat repellers

Before purchasing a cat repeller we have to ask ourselves the following questions:

1. Do we know where the cats enter?
2. How many m2 or linear meters do we want to protect?
3. Can we clean the area we want to protect well?

There are 3 different ways to repel cats: ultrasounds, repellents or spikes.

Ultrasound for cats

Ultrasound systems generate an unbearable discomfort to the cat. Cats perceive the ultrasound as being in a hostile environment and will not return after a few days. Ultrasounds are not harmful to human health and we do not hear them. Ultrasonic cat repellers work discreetly and without causing any harm to the animal and can repel cats from gardens, patios, garages, terraces, walls, sofas, porches, flower beds, flower beds, etc.
Characteristics of cat repellers
To purchase a cat repeller you must recognize what features suit the device for your specific case and we can summarize it in 4 points: - Rechargeable batteries: the batteries can be recharged by USB or solar panel. You will have to consider how long you can be away from home without recharging if you choose a repeller without a solar panel. Batteries without a solar panel last about 6 months. - Motion sensor: The cat repeller with a motion sensor is the best option as long as you know where the cats are entering. If you do not know where they enter or there is not enough perspective to capture the cat's presence there is no point in buying a motion sensor device. - Continuous mode: the continuous mode ultrasonic cat repeller should be purchased if you do not know exactly where they enter or they can simply enter from everywhere. This device allows the waves to be emitted cyclically without the need to capture the animal's movement. - Stake: to stick in the ground or pots if there is no other way to attach it to a wall or tree. Ultrasound is a very effective means but sometimes it will not work if:
  • Food or water is present.
  • Poor placement of the device: ultrasound does not penetrate walls, ceilings, windows or walls. If there are obstacles it will not work.
  • It does not detect the presence of the cat due to poor positioning of the device: far away, at a great height, obstacles, or simply the cat passes by another side and the sensor is not activated.
  • Dirt: feces are not removed or urine (which contains attractant pheromones) is not cleaned properly. Dirt is an attractant for cats.
  • There are other cats around, in neighboring houses or in the street and it attracts cats.

Cat repellents

All repellents are effective cat repellents, but not all situations are the same. Before buying you should ask yourself the following questions: 1. How often can I apply the product? 2. Does it rain a lot where I am going to use it? 3. Do we have the option of cleaning the cat's droppings well? If it cannot be applied frequently or it rains a lot, it is preferable to use granules or gel because they are more persistent. On the other hand, the gel stains more and the granules are visible. The liquid or powder that is diluted in water is more discreet and does not stain, but in case of rain we have to use them again. Whenever repellents are used, the ground or facade must be previously cleaned with plenty of water to remove the pheromones. We also have a specific product to clean and eliminate the attractant pheromones that cat droppings contain.

Cat spikes

The cut-out plastic spikes are excellent cat repellers to put on fences, walls, walls, walls, windowsills, sofas and walkways are a foolproof solution because the cat will not want to access or cross an area where it can be damaged. Before jumping or crossing an area, cats make sure that there will be no problem and will not even try to access an area that has these spikes.

Capture

For municipal kennels or animal shelters we have capture and relocation cages and perches.
